Human trafficking issues in Michigan and around the world are addressed in the 75-minute documentary Break the Chain, produced and directed by Michigan documentary filmmakers Laura E. Swanson And Kirk Mason. A free showing open to all will take place Wednesday, August 23 at 6:45pm at the Wesley Foundation at WMU. A light meal will be served at 6pm. This is the 2017 Detroit Renaissance District Conference and Workshops
These Lay Servant Classes will be held in September at Kalamazoo Westwood UMC: Basic, Accountable Discipleship, and Leading Bible Study.
The UM Commissioning Workshop will be held at Duke Divinity School on Monday morning, September 11, beginning with registration at 8:00 and ending at 1:30 pm.
Please register as early as possible and no later than Monday, September 4, 2017.
Classes will be held for 4 consecutive Tuesday evenings. Basic and Advanced Class "Dancing with Words" running at the same time.
Heartland District Lay Servant Classes for fall 2017 will take place overnight September 15-16 at Albright Camp (3156 190th Ave., Reed City, MI). That’s right—we’re trying out a NEW RETREAT-STYLE FORMAT!!
